Rishabh Shetty action – Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 26: And just like that, actor-director Rishabh Shetty’s epic action drama Kantara: Chapter 1 has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, surpassing director Laxman Utekar’s Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava and putting Kannada cinema back on the map. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 125 crore, the film has grossed Rs 813 crore so far and continues to have a successful run in theaters despite it being four weeks since the film’s release. On Monday, on its 26th day in theatres, Kantara 2 recorded a nett collection of Rs 2.

92 crore in India, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 592. 52 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacanilc.

While the film is underperforming Chhaava during the same period – the Vicky Kaushal-starrer had earned Rs 5. 25 crore on its fourth Monday – Kantara 2 is likely to surpass it in terms of India’s net collections in the coming days.

Chhaaava ended its theatrical run with a domestic collection of Rs 601. 54 crore.
