Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering century in the third innings for Mumbai against Rajasthan at his IPL home ground at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur in his first Ranji Trophy match since January 2025. Reuniting with his overnight half-century after Mumbai were left reeling by Rajasthan’s mammoth score of 617 for six in the first innings, Jaiswal brought up his century with the help of 11 fours off 120 balls on the fourth day. The century was Jaiswal’s fifth for Mumbai in just 21 innings in Ranji Trophy since his debut in 2019.

The southpaw has scored a total of 17 first-class centuries, including seven Test centuries. Story continues below this advertisement. The 23-year-old also scored 1000 Ranji Trophy runs at an average of over 57 in 10 matches during this innings.

The ongoing Ranji competition is his first for Mumbai since he had to make a turnaround after he decided to leave Mumbai at the end of last season. Jaiswal is not part of India’s T20I squad which is currently playing a five-match T20I series against Australia in the coming days. With the South Africa series to be played at home next month, Jaiswal is looking to get some match practice.

The MCA selection committee meeting will be held after the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Chhattisgarh. During the recently concluded home Test series against West Indies, Jaiswal scored his seventh Test century at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
