Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have made it their profession to criticize India’s first Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi and make baseless allegations against them. “The BJP had no role in the freedom struggle. The BJP’s only objective is to criticize Nehru and Gandhiji, who fought for independence.

They have made it their profession to criticize both of them and make baseless allegations against them,” the Chief Minister said after garlanding Nehru’s statue in the Vidhana Soudha complex on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Friday. Earlier, speaking at the Children’s Day celebration and state-level parent-teacher conference organized by the Department of Education and Literacy, Mr Siddaramaiah said that those who were on the side of the British during the freedom struggle were the same ones who were criticizing Nehru and Gandhiji.

“Parents and children should understand Nehru’s contribution to the freedom struggle and other fields including science, irrigation, technology and agriculture sector. ” The Chief Minister said that the future of the country will be decided by those children who develop logical and scientific thinking.

He said, “Children should stay away from superstition and superstition from their primary school education. Should stay away from caste-based discrimination. Everyone should practice tolerance and co-existence to ensure unity in diversity as enshrined in the Constitution.

” He said that the first Prime Minister believed that children were the foundation of modern India and he promoted education that inculcated scientific temper in children. “Our government has allocated โ‚น65,000 crore for the education sector. The children honored today are all from poor families.

Education does not belong to anyone. Even I became the Chief Minister after studying in a government school. “.
