Arpora Night Club – 23 people were killed in a massive fire that broke out at a club in Goa early on Sunday, with the victims suffering from burns and suffocation. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant vowed a rigorous investigation into the Arpora incident and promised strict action against those responsible.

Police have recovered all the bodies and are investigating the cause, while officials are stressing the urgent need for a safety audit of all establishments in Goa.
