film Jan Nayakan – After the massive audio launch in Malaysia for his film Jana Nayagan, now advance booking has started for ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s upcoming political action film. According to industry tracker Sacknilk, the film is still a week away from its release and without an official trailer, it has already received an extraordinary response at the ticket windows.

Initial reports suggest that the film has already touched the Rs 15 crore mark worldwide in pre-sales on its opening day including the premiere. The overseas market has been particularly strong, with Jana Nayagan earning Rs 11–12 crore from advance bookings alone. Major contributions are coming from North America, the UK and Australia, where Vijay has a strong fan base.

However, in India the film has collected only around Rs 3 crore so far. But it is important to note that bookings are currently open only in Karnataka and Kerala. The trade tracker also noted that significant growth is expected once advance bookings begin in Tamil Nadu and other key Indian regions, which traditionally contribute significantly to Vijay’s opening day numbers.
