Hundreds of Haryana government employees in Faridabad are fighting orders that force them to arrange for voluntary sterilisation. Employees of Badshah Khan Hospital and ESI Hospital burnt the effigy of the Chief Medical Officer of Faridabad district outside his office.

They are planning a strong movement. The protest came to light after five staff nurses of ESI Hospital were sent on deputation to Palwal Civil Hospital.

None of them had motivated enough volunteers to undergo sterilization. Fighting continues in south Yemen Gulf sources said they have learned that South Yemen’s President Ali Nasser Mohammed has been seriously injured in a coup attempt. Fighting is ongoing in the Aden port area between rebel groups and elements loyal to the Marxist government, sources with access to the southern Yemeni capital told The Associated Press.
