South Africa Team – Team India produced another stellar performance in their unofficial T20 World Cup 2026 practice match against South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, but were left with yet another injury scare on Wednesday evening. While the team welcomed the return of batsman Tilak Verma after a month-long injury, the Men in Blue were left with the threat of another injury as fast bowler Harshit Rana suffered a concussion during the outing against the Proteas.

While bowling after the Indian batsmen scored 240 runs in 20 overs, Rana was forced to leave the pitch due to a physical injury. The Delhi pacer’s uneasiness became evident when he was unable to find his rhythm and was out of his ball on two separate occasions within the same over. Soon after, Rana was seen clutching his knee in discomfort before walking off the field, bringing his participation in the match to a premature end.

He bowled only one over in the game, giving away 16 runs.
