Higher Education for Persons with Special Needs (HEPSN), Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Resource Education and Charitable Trust (REACT), Madurai here on Friday (February 6). According to a press release, the MoU was executed to promote inclusive education and increase employment opportunities for students with disabilities.
The MoU was signed by M. Sundaramari, Registrar (In-charge), GRI and Ramesh Duraikannan, Founder and Director, REACT, Madurai. The signing took place in the presence of Professor N Panchanatham, Vice Chancellor, GRI; S.
Meenakshi, Director, Research & Development; H. Samuel Thavaraj, Coordinator, HEPSN, and B. Senthil Kumar, Co-Coordinator, HEPSN.
The release said the objective of the agreement is to facilitate skill development, career guidance and placement assistance for persons with disabilities studying at GRI.
