The car driver allegedly took the schoolgirl to an isolated place and raped her in his car, Pune Police said. (Symbolic image) Pune city police on Thursday arrested a 29-year-old private car driver for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl while she was going to school. According to the police, the accused, known to the girl, came to her on Wednesday morning and said that he would drop her to school in his car.

But instead of taking her to school, the man allegedly took the 13-year-old girl to an isolated place and raped her in his car and threatened to harm her if she told anyone about the incident, police said. Police said the girl was in a state of shock and later in the night she told her mother about the incident.

The mother contacted the police and lodged an FIR against the car driver.
