Amid the ongoing leadership tussle in the Congress government, partymen, MLAs and cabinet ministers led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday (March 10) met with Deputy Chief Minister D. K. congratulated.

Shivakumar completed six years as the party president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). Mr Shivakumar, who took over as KPCC president in COVID-19 times, has led the party to power in the 2023 assembly elections. ‘Model for youth’ Congratulating Mr Shivakumar on completing six years at the helm of KPCC, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the KPCC president’s vision, ideological commitment and hard work is a model for young leaders.

” On Tuesday (March 10) evening, the Deputy Chief Minister had organized a dinner party at a luxury hotel in the city to celebrate this achievement, which was attended by more than 120 MLAs, including almost all cabinet ministers. Sources said that folk singers from Kanakpura entertained the guests. Thanks to Sonia Earlier in the day, Mr Shivakumar thanked veteran Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for appointing him KPCC president.

“Whatever I have seen in politics makes one’s faith stronger. I was born a Congressman. And I will remain a Congressman till my last day,” he wrote in a signed post.

Speaking to reporters, he said, “Since the Legislature is in session, a big celebratory program has been postponed and a dinner party has been arranged for the MLAs. ” When asked about his desire to become Chief Minister, he refused to comment.

“I am discharging the duties and responsibilities given to me by the party,” he said.
