Vascular surgeon Dr. Sumit Kapadia recently spoke about the limitations of modern “full body check-up” packages, explaining that many people misunderstand what preventive health care really means.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Dr Kapadia said, “There is no such thing as a complete body checkup. No amount of tests can ever detect all the problems in your body. And blood tests are not the only way to detect many problems.
” He further explained that patients often come with burdensome reports from low-cost health packages containing hundreds of tests. “We have seen a lot of people who say ‘I have done full body tests’.
They bring a file for Rs 999 which has 1000 tests. But they have not got Echo, ECG. “.
