(Source: File/Representative) A local AAP leader and two others were shot after a parking dispute between the families of a party leader and a retired police officer turned violent at Kot Atma Ram in Amritsar on Thursday afternoon.
The controversy started when AAP leader Jaipal Singh Bau had parked his vehicle outside the residence of retired police officer Tejinder Singh. Tejinder objected to the parking following which a verbal confrontation ensued which soon turned physical. During the initial scuffle, Jaipal’s son attacked the retired officer, breaking his turban, and left the scene, said Amritsar SP (East) Devendra Singh.
Later, the party leader’s son returned again with his father and a brother โ the group was reportedly armed with a kirpan (ceremonial sword) and a pistol.
