found dead Prayagraj – Prayagraj: A Class 10 student, who was being investigated for rape based on a complaint by the parents of a pregnant minor, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a field early Sunday, a day after police visited his village home in UP’s Kaushambi district to question him. The boy’s family said that after thinking of filing an FIR against him under Section 69 of the BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act (sexual assault on a minor), he went out without informing last night. Kaushambi SP Rajesh Kumar told TOI that the victim’s family approached the police after discovering that she was four months pregnant.

She alleged that the 18-year-old boy forced her to have a relationship and kept it a secret by promising to marry him. The FIR was registered on Saturday.
