Symbolic Image Kanpur: A bike stunt performed by four youths on Thursday at the Ganga Barrage in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur took the life of a 23-year-old woman. The victim Bhavika Gupta had gone to the barrage with her friend on a two-wheeler on Thursday evening. Her family said she was just a few meters away from the barrage when four youths on two bikes came speeding by and one of them hit her scooter.

Bhavika was dragged for at least 50 metres, her family said, as the bikes were traveling at speeds of 110 km/h. Bhavika died in the hospital. The youth ran away leaving a sports bike.

There was social media information of one Brijesh Nishad in the vehicle. When investigated, a photo of a young man on a sports bike was found. There were some comments below the post wanting to know “whether he (Brijesh) was alive after the accident at Ganga Barrage”.

Police is searching for the accused. news network.
