Cyclonic storm Ditvaah, located off the northern Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast, continued its slow movement northwards on Sunday (November 30, 2025), even as it started weakening. According to the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), the system moved at a speed of 5 kmph over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast on Sunday morning (November 30, 2025).
The minimum distance from the coastline to its center was about 80 km. Cyclone Ditvaha Live Updates The cyclone moved north almost parallel to the coast and weakened into a deep depression by Sunday (November 30, 2025) night, the RMC said.
By midnight of November 30, 2025, the system was to be over the southwest Bay of Bengal at a minimum distance of about 30 km from the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast. Forecast for December 1 For Monday (December 1), light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry-Karaikal with thunderstorm and lightning at a few places. According to the RMC bulletin, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Tiruvallur district.
The squall winds are likely to gradually reduce to 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph by Monday morning. The RMC said sea conditions are likely to improve gradually, becoming very rough by Monday morning and improving further thereafter.
