Head constable accused – A head constable attached to the city cyber crime police station was suspended after an FIR was lodged for allegedly stealing ₹11 lakh cash and other valuables from a suspect’s car. Vidhan Soudha police have registered an FIR against Zabiullah Gadiyal based on the complaint of the inspector of cyber crime station. Zabiullah along with his associate had seized the suspect’s car in Devanahalli on December 13 and he was brought to the station for questioning.

He reportedly later stole the bag containing cash and other valuables. The suspect, who was later granted anticipatory bail, appeared before the police and when he checked his seized car, he found the cash bag missing. Following the complaint, police recovered the cash and charged Zabiullah with theft and criminal breach of trust.
