The suspension of Kerala cadre IAS officer N Prashanth has been extended by six months. Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak has issued the order stating that the suspension of the 2007 batch officer has been extended for an additional period of 180 days from November 6 to May 4, 2026.

Mr Prashanth was suspended on November 11, 2024 for making serious allegations against Mr Jayathilak, then Additional Chief Secretary and now Chief Secretary of Kerala, and then Chief Secretary Saradha Muraleedharan. The suspension has since been extended.
