Madina-Hyderabad flight diverted – An IndiGo flight from Medina, Saudi Arabia to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday (December 4, 2025) following a bomb threat, a police officer said. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Atul Bansal said the plane landed safely at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 12:30 pm and all passengers and crew were deboarded pending a thorough search of the plane. Mr Bansal said, “When the plane was flying from Madina to Hyderabad, someone sent an email to IndiGo claiming that a bomb was planted in the plane.
Since Ahmedabad was the nearest airport, the pilot decided to land here as a precautionary measure. ” After being alerted about the bomb threat, local police rushed to the spot to assist the Central Industrial Security Force and the National Disaster Response Force, the official said, adding that nothing suspicious was found during the initial search.
