(AP Photo/Asanka Brendan Ratnayake, File) Emma Raducanu has questioned the timing of her match for the first round of the Australian Open.
The British pro tennis player, who has one Grand Slam to her name, was part of a practice program in Hobart and reached the quarter-finals. After this her flight was delayed and finally she reached Melbourne on Saturday.
Now Raducanu is set to play his first round against Thai player Mananchaya Sawangkau on Sunday. With less than ideal time to become fully match-fit, Raducanu has questioned the merits of Australian Open scheduling. โYou would love to spend more time in the environment, practice more time, but I think I was handed quite a schedule to try to change it.
