designer Zomato CEO – Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal recently spotlighted the remarkable journey of a young design student whose life has come full circle, from working shifts at a Blinkit dark store to landing a spot on Zomatoโs design team. Goyal shared a screenshot of a heartfelt message he received from Atharv Singh, a final-year design student who opened up about his struggles while trying to put himself through college.
With no financial support from his family, Atharv said he juggled fees, rent, and daily expenses on his own, often unsure how he would get through the month. An Instagram ad announcing Blinkitโs hiring drive turned out to be his lifeline. Atharv joined a nearby dark store and worked there for four months, a decision he says changed the course of his life.
As he put it, โLife really comes in full circle. โ He told Goyal, โIโm a 4th-year design student, I had to manage my own funds for college fees and rent and other expenses as my dad didnโt support my education.
โ Recalling the toughest days, he added, โThere was a time when I was not able to earn anything and life was still asking for more. โ Things began to shift once he started at Blinkit.
โLife just kept getting better ever since,โ he said. Now, with a design role at Zomato awaiting him, Atharv expressed his gratitude: โNow here Iโm, who worked as a picker in Blinkit, joining your design team at Zomato.
Really grateful for what youโve built and absolutely lucky to be a part of this! Just 1% done, this Blinkit boy will now deliver design at Zomato. โ Goyalโs response was simple but heartfelt: โThanks for sharing your story. Lit me up.
