Karam, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, is set to release on September 25. With this film, Vineeth appears to be returning to a darker, edgier space reminiscent of his most underrated directorial to date, Thira (2013). In a recent interview, the actor-filmmaker explained why he chose to take on Karam after a string of feel-good films. I had heard this story. I really liked the script even from the initial drafts. So once I asked him if he would be willing to wait a year till Varshangalkku Shesham releases for me to make that film myself. Noble was happy and said, โIf you are doing it, I will wait for one year.โ That is how Karam came to me as a project.โ
