festival Lieutenant Governor – Lieutenant Governor V. K.

Saxena on Sunday said the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has given permission to hold the ‘Phoolwalon Ki Sair’ festival this year, days after organizers postponed the age-old event symbolizing religious harmony due to “limited permission” from the DDA. Mr. Saxena warned that if any officer is found working against public interest, he will have to face punishment under the prescribed provisions.

According to Raj Niwas, the DDA has informed the organizers of its decision and the festival is likely to be held between February and March next year. However, organizers of Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan Society said they have not yet received any formal communication regarding the permission.
