Faridabad Mujesar Industrial – A massive fire broke out at a factory in Faridabad’s Mujesar Industrial Area in Sector 24 on Monday, injuring more than 37 people, including three policemen involved in the fire fighting operation. Police said the fire broke out around 4 pm when a spark from a machine used to cut steel plates fell into a drum filled with chemicals, causing an explosion. This triggered a series of explosions as about 20-25 drums were kept nearby.

Officials said the fire spread rapidly and engulfed the entire unit of Kalkaji Lubricants and a part of the factory was gutted. Officials said several vehicles, including two-wheelers and cars, parked within 100 meters of the unit were burnt.
