Sudha Kongara Parashakti – Parashakti Trailer and Release Date: With less than a week left for the film to release worldwide, the makers of director Sudha Kongara’s Parashakti have ramped up the promotions and unveiled the official trailer on Sunday, December 4. The minute-long promo video makes it clear that the period political action drama is set against the backdrop of the anti-Hindi agitation that rocked Tamil Nadu in the decades immediately following India’s independence.
The trailer begins in 1964, giving a glimpse of the seemingly unpredictable lives of the characters played by Sivakarthikeyan and Atharvaa. However, things change once “a law is passed to impose Hindi as the sole official language throughout the country”. As the atmosphere heats up against the imposition of Hindi, Atharva is determined to extend solidarity with the revolutionaries, while Sivakarthikeyan, who works for the Railways, is initially unconcerned.
However, as per the demands of her job, she decides to study Hindi and persuades Sreeleela, who works at a radio station, to teach her. As their journey progresses, we see them slowly fall in love with each other.
