“The landing is a major milestone in the strategic and disaster-response infrastructure in the Northeast,” the PM said while sharing a video on Facebook. The ELF has been developed in coordination with the Indian Air Force.

It has been specially designed and built in coordination with the Indian Air Force to assist in landing and take-off of military and civilian aircraft during emergencies. It supports both military and civilian aircraft during emergencies.
