Kalyan Karnataka Priyank – Priyank Kharge, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and in-charge of Kalaburagi district, said that the dream of providing quality coaching for competitive examinations to the talented candidates of Kalyana Karnataka region has come true with the inauguration of Prabuddha Pre-Exam Training Academy. Inaugurating the academy on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city on January 11, Mr Kharge said the center is not just a building but a platform to shape the future of candidates preparing for IAS, IPS, KAS and other competitive exams. He said the project was planned when he was the Social Welfare Minister but it got delayed after the change in government.

Emphasizing that education and jobs should not be influenced by politics, Mr Kharge said, “After the Congress came to power, we resumed the work, completed it and inaugurated the academy. The facility has been built in 10,000 square feet at a cost of โ‚น30 crore.

” Referring to past irregularities in the PSI examination, Mr Kharge said many students who went to Bengaluru for coaching had to struggle even to get one meal. He said the academy was established to ensure that students from the area are not forced to face such hardship again. The minister said efforts would be made to develop the academy as a center of excellence, and suggested that IAS and IPS officers from the region volunteer to teach candidates at the academy.

He said that two city buses of Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation have been deployed to facilitate transportation for the candidates. Out of total applicants for the entrance examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority, 500 candidates will be selected on the basis of merit for training.

Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil said the academy will provide quality coaching facilities to students in the region for competitive examinations, thereby addressing the long-standing gap and reducing their dependence on metropolitan cities for exam preparation. MLA M.
