Red Fort car – Car explosion at Red Fort New Delhi: An alert has been issued after an explosion in a car near Red Fort metro station. Apart from Delhi, officials of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have also given instructions to increase security.
Speaking to ANI, Uttar Pradesh ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash said, “The DGP has issued instructions to all senior officials of Uttar Pradesh to increase security at sensitive religious places, sensitive districts and border areas. All security agencies have also been alerted.
Police have been put on alert in all districts of Uttar Pradesh. An order was issued from Lucknow to increase patrolling and investigation in sensitive areas. “The cause of the blast is unknown, and teams have come from Delhi.
Police including special cell is investigating. NIA and NSG are also on the spot.
The area has been sealed and Delhi has been put on high alert. Eyewitnesses reported a powerful explosion and a scene of chaos. Following the recovery of around 360 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate in Haryana’s Faridabad, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called a meeting with senior police officers at his residence, Varsha, on Monday to review the security preparedness of the state.
According to sources, Fadnavis reiterated his instructions for strict vigilance in the wake of the Delhi blasts, directing all law enforcement and intelligence agencies to remain on high alert.
