The third film in the Bharatanatyam franchise was announced at the success meeting of Bharatanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam in Kochi on Sunday (June 28). The film titled Bharatanatyam 3: Raasleela will once again have Krishnadas Murali as co-writer and director and Saiju Kurup in the lead role. Produced by Lynne Mariam David and Anupama Nambiar under the banner of Thomas Thiruvalla Films and Saiju Kurup Entertainments, the project is scheduled to release in 2028.

Starring Saiju, Sai Kumar and Kalaranjini among others, Bharatnatyam was released in 2024 and performed disappointingly at the box office. However, the comedy-drama gained attention after its OTT release.

However, the second film in the franchise, a dark comedy, was theatrically successful, earning over ₹25 crore at the global box office and was further appreciated after its OTT premiere. Apart from the cast, the first film also featured rapper Baby Jean in the lead role.

Pradeep and Electronic Killy have returned as co-writers and composers for Bharatnatyam 3: Raasleela. Shafiq VB leads the editing of the film.
