Pablo Escobar Hippopotamus – The story so far: Vantara, a 3,500-acre wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center in Gujarat’s Jamnagar owned by Anant Ambani, son of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani, has offered to take in 80 hippos scheduled for euthanasia. The offering follows the decision of the Colombian government on April 13 to assign an investment of 7,200 million pesos to the regional autonomous corporations Corneray, Corentioquia, Corpoboyca and CAS.

Vantara has said that she will keep the animals in a “specially designed and enriched environment”.
