As part of the national program to distribute benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), the Ministry of Labor and Employment on Saturday organized a special program at the Indian Bank Management Academy for Growth and Excellence (IMAGE) in MRC Nagar, Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) and six other locations in Chennai. According to a press release, IMAGE was attended by a total of 750 participants including 450 beneficiaries, 122 employers and industry association representatives.
Joint Director of Safety and Health Directorate K. Shrinu Dara, Deputy Chief Labor Commissioner (Central), Government of India, participated on behalf of Niraimathi and Deputy Labor Commissioner Ramesh Kumar on behalf of the State Government; Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Renu Ramachandran and other officials of the Chennai South Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) also participated. A total of 60 planning letters were distributed.
At CICT, Bhuvaneshwari, Registrar, CICT; and Shasikumar, Joint Director, Industrial Safety and Health, participated as the chief guest. A total of 96 beneficiaries and 14 employers participated in the event held in Chennai.
D. Ravikumar, Regional PF Commissioner-II, Regional Office, Chennai South; Industry association representatives, public representatives, senior state government officials and EPFO โโofficials were also present.
A total of 10 planning letters were distributed.
