President of Telangana Jagruti K. Kavitha defended Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and her father K.

Chandrasekhar Rao’s recent criticism, saying her comments were aimed at his political leadership and policies and not as a father. At ‘Meet the Press’ organized by Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) in Hyderabad on Saturday (May 2, 2026), Ms Kavitha said she would continue to question the policies and failures of the previous BRS government while maintaining personal respect for KCR. She said, “As a father I have no problem with him.

I pray for him every day. But I have ideological differences with him and I will continue to criticize on policy matters.

” He said that BRS is also free to criticize him politically.
