Kerala Assembly Elections – Tension prevailed in Koorkanchery in Thrissur when a young woman was not allowed to vote because her finger was bandaged, leading to hours-long protest at the booth. The incident took place at a polling booth set up at Swami Bodhanand School in Kurkenchery, where Akshaya, a resident of Kannankulangara, was stopped from casting her vote because her left index finger was bandaged.
