Tovino Thomas teaches – The trailer of Malayalam star Tovino Thomas’ upcoming film Pallichattambi was released by the makers on Sunday (April 5). Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film is scheduled to release in theaters on April 10.

“He will come to set that land on fire until nothing is left. He will come to cut the veins of that land one by one.

He is the real sovereign of that land,” says a voiceover as we are taken into a period story set in the ’50s and ’60s. Meanwhile, the chief priest of the Kunnumpuram Church announces that the townspeople must find the strongest goon in the vicinity and bring him to their village to help fight the atrocities being inflicted on them by the authorities. And thus we are introduced to the titular goon, played by Tovino, who is a hulking brute who can take on multiple men at once.

In some scenes, we can see him teaching self-defense to villagers, while a rogue policeman vows to destroy Kunnumpuram. The action-packed trailer promises to be packed with an adrenaline-pumping, action-adventure story.

Pallichattambi also stars Kayadu Lohar, who debuts in Malayalam with Pathonpatham Noottandu (2022), directed by Vinayan. She was also seen in Oru Jathi Jathaakam (2025) and Dragon (2025) directed by Pradeep Ranganathan.

Tejo Tomy heads the film’s cinematography while Srijit Sarang handles the editing. Rajesh Menon heads the art direction department.

S Suresh Babu has written the screenplay. Pallichattambi is produced by Naufal-Brijesh and CCC Brothers under the banner of World Wide Films and C Cube Brothers. This is Dijo’s fourth directorial venture.

His last film, Malayali From India (2024), failed to perform well at the box office. She debuted in the campus drama, Queen in 2018.
