Summary Parliament will hold a special session from April 16-18 to amend the Women’s Reservation Act. The government aims to implement the Nari Shakti Vandan Act by the 2029 general elections. The proposed changes would delink the quota from future census and delimitation.
This will enable women’s reservation for the 2029 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
