On behalf of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam president C. Joseph Vijay, a fresh set of revised nominations have been filed in Perambur and Tiruchi East assembly constituencies, where the actor-politician is making his electoral debut in the upcoming elections. Assembly Election Live Updates In the revised set of nominations, Mr Vijay has declared two cases pending against him – one at Pervallur police station for alleged violation of election norms at Kolathur Assembly seat, where he campaigned after filing his nomination on March 30.

Another case was registered at Koodakovil police station in Madurai district, which pertains to an incident during the second TVK convention in August 2025, when an enthusiastic TVK supporter climbing the ramp was allegedly pushed by Mr Vijay’s bouncers, following which he sustained injuries.
