Rajnath Defense Minister – Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday (April 19, 2026) criticized the Congress and the DMK over the defeat of the amendment bill related to the Women’s Reservation Act in Parliament, but said the government is committed to implementing it and “no power in the world can stop us from doing so”. Addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidate Ananth Ayyasamy in Tenkasi district for the April 23 assembly elections, he attacked the ruling DMK over corruption and urged people to “bid it farewell” in the elections.
